PROGRAM BACKGROUND
The Future Physician Leaders (FPL) program is a community-based collaborative effort founded in 2009 by Dr. Raul Ruiz. It is a free mentorship program for aspiring physicians that allows them to educate Inland Empire communities about different health disparities through community health projects. The program aids these aspiring health care providers to achieve their goals and inspires them to return to the Inland Empire region to provide much-needed medical care.
Due to COVID-19, the program was held entirely online. The creation of this website is an effort to reach as many community members as possible.
